mkml (the previous name was 1map1trip) can make kml (on windows also kmz) converting file with points into lines and/or pins over a map.
mkml is an old style batch server software that can work also like a pipe (can support STDIN and STDOUT) in the same way in a lot of operating systems: Windows (in dos windows), Linux, AIX, Solaris, HPUX (using executable version) and stranger OS like openvms, Z series, AS/400, SCO, … using perl).
With mkml version 4.0 you can simply and quickly create/convert your points into kml files (kmz files).
The input file format is a sequence of points like
latitute;longitude;(altitude optional);(title optional);(body optional, you can write html code)
You can mark these points like lines or points or lines with points.
To better understand the powerful of the software see these examples
input file for monuments of Virgilio Milani at Rovigo, Italy
